A sweet treat offered by mother earth with build in nutrition, Vitamin C and doesn’t spike insulin like orange juice.
We all have learned due to obesity in America your nutriention is very important for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. They both run in my family. However for Type 2 controlling what you eat is key.
Don’t worry we will explore some good alternatives to maximize our health and well-being from what we eat. Are you feeling overwhelmed with the choices to make everyday to eat healthy? Well, me too. I started seeing a holistic doctor when I was diagnosed with a autoimmune disease over 5 years ago. According to doctors my condition was a rare case due to my red blood cells were not infusing the proper protocol for iron production, Fe protein and proper oxygen was not navigating the path to all my key organs which caused severe pain, fatigue, migraines and nausea re-occurrences on a daily basis.
Why did this happen? Great question, I don’t know and neither does my doctors.
However, what I did learn from my holistic doctor was to help with my personal care during treatment was through proper nutrition focused on what is presently reoccurring in my body based on the way I feel everyday. He said start eating pineapples and drinking pineapple juice mixed with ginger and turmeric during my treatment infusion sessions each month. He explained the purpose of this experiment was to help the infusion treatment or any oral medication to support infusion process into my blood steam.
Pineapples is rich in Vitamin C, is loaded with natural nutrients, its enzymes can ease digestion, boost immunity, suppress inflammation, and contains disease fighting antioxidants.
Due to infusion treatments can cause constipation and sore muscles in patients. I didn’t hesitate to eat and drink more of the delicious treat.
However eating large amounts of pineapples can cause swelling of the mouth and cheeks. Eat in moderation weekly if you plan to incorporate pineapples more frequently to your diet.
Stay safe and eat well.
